Nooshin Farahpour is an Iranian-American painter and children’s book writer based in Los Angeles, CA. Farahpour’s work examines questions of diaspora and trauma through the construction of childhood memories and dreams. Her paintings often employ a variety of elementary vocabulary games and exercises to construct narratives of arrival stories into the United States, and her memories of her father as an architect. Farahpour’s work has previously appeared on ABC’s “The View”.
